A bonsai Malus is a popular choice because of its fine branching, small leaves, and abundant spring blooms, which, with proper care, are followed by decorative mini apples. Malus domestica, the common apple, is known for its vigorous growth and easily controlled crown structure, while Malus halliana is prized for its more elegant habit and strikingly abundant pink to white-pink blossoms.
